After more dogfooding & exploring, the resources view has been useful for spotting issues like redundant material or geo creation, but usually is taking up too much space from the scene graph, and contains too much non-relevant content (temporary resources used for a render target in another scene).
I think having this as an alternate view in the scene view, and making the resources view scoped to only resources used by that scene seems like a good idea right now. Adding skeletons as a resource would be good too.
