404 not found after Successful Sign in about traefik-forward-auth

The solution:

The issue was that there was no route for Path('/_oauth') or PathPrefix('/_oauth') in my traefik configuration (in the docker compose file). There is no such route mentioned in the examples configuration files either, which is why I ran into this issue. So traefik reverse proxy wasn't identifying the /_oauth link, even though traefik-forward-auth was working correctly. Thus, when the redirect to that link happens, it resulted in a 404. To resolve this, just added the following to the labels for traefik:

- "traefik.http.routers.oauth.rule=PathPrefix(`/_oauth`)"
- "traefik.http.routers.oauth.middlewares=traefik-forward-auth"

This allows the /_oauth link to be recognised by traefik, and send the request back to the traefik-forward-auth middleware, so that the Auth Callback can happen (which is the function that handles getting the access token and verifying user information)

After adding these two labels, it worked like a charm.
