Oof, that looks painful and wouldn't look right on Opengist.

But AFAIK you should be adding your own stylesheet for this anyway:

I see that this issue should be up on yuin/goldmark. I will make an issue there but leave this one open until the dependencies get updated if that's ok with you.

I do believe it's doable either by making a goldmark extension (clean way) or parse the markdown a second time in Opengist to add html for those blocks (dirty way)

Also this function could be modified to detect Github's syntax, if I'm reading it right (I've never used Go).

There is an existing issue to add Github's syntax but it's for the old one. I've added a comment that the syntax has been updated and we can see whether the developer responds.
