Great point, thanks! On our site, we use a general purpose compilation caching layer that caches all compiled CoffeeScript+Streamline output, so we never run into this, but you're right -- as a distributable module, it should come compiled.

Let me try to get to it sometime this week.

Sorry this hasn't been done yet -- it was indeed because of the tricky manual "replace all require('blabla_') by require('blabla')" step.

But good news! Streamline recently added support for files to have the same basename as regular JS/CS files, e.g. 'blabla' instead of 'blabla_'. This supports developing-with-source + publishing-compiled nicely.

I've spent a bunch of time looking into this, and it's doable. We just need to spend a bit of time upgrading to Node 0.6 and this newer version of Streamline to make sure everything works okay. I hope to get to it soon -- really this coming week. =)

If you're curious, I achieved this via Streamline 0.2's awesome in-file directive feature, so no underscores in filenames needed anymore.
