Comparators also unit-test correctly, but fail on evaluate:

      const result2 = evaluate( '3.=2')
      expect(result2.toString()).to.equal('[]') // correctly nil

      const result = evaluate('3.=3')
      expect(result.toString()).to.equal('[<>]') // incorrectly nil

Oddly, here NIL is correct but ALL is wrong...
