Hi. The image produced by the Dockerfile is huge since it installs an enormous amount of stuff, which makes it unsuitable as a deployment target.

This weekend I changed the process to use Bazel to produce the images. If you look at my latest Jenkinsfile you'll see the update: https://github.com/thelgevold/angular-samples/blob/master/Jenkinsfile

There are now two images created, one for the node app, and one for the Java api. Both are considerably smaller. The container_push rules in the BUILD files can be updated to point to different registries.

I deployed both images to azure here: http://angular-samples.azurewebsites.net/#/demo/react
