Sounds good, though I would not implement this until we get all of the nag consolidated into one or two messages.

Sounds good to me. Updating required plugins that may be out-of-date would definitely be useful.

Now that 2.1 is out, I guess this can be bumped? :)

The new plugin info via thickbox helps this some, because the install_plugin_information() function will let users know if the current instance of the plugin is out of date.

This should probably be bumped to 2.2 :)

Gary, I'm going to assign this one to you. Tackle it when you have time, and if you think you won't have time in the near future to work on it, just let me know and I'll see what I can do. I figured we could still try to tackle this one before we push out 2.2.0.
