Read the docs doesn't make sense to me , since it doesn't get me anywhere neither does it guide how to use terrascan .

Also is there a guide for writing & what should be be directory structure for these tests ?

It should work on any directory containing tf files. Try installing again via pip and checking if the location of terrascan is in your PATH after installing.
