Ah i see, i thought using source meant to omit the first param and place source as an extra. Now it works, thanks.

As a side note, maybe i would be good idea to specify what the File type in the docs means. As far as i can tell it's not really clear what exactly can be passed to the function. Or did i miss that somewhere?

Hey,

try this:

ctx.replyWithPhoto({source: '/example/cat.jpeg'}, {
     reply_to_message_id: ctx.message.message_id
})

or more clean solution:

const { Extra } = require('telegraf')

ctx.replyWithPhoto({source: '/example/cat.jpeg'}, Extra.inReplyTo(ctx.message.message_id))
