Thanks for the report. After some testing, it seems that such PRAGMA should be executed using rawQuery instead of execute.

On Android I get:

execute PRAGMA quick_check failed: DatabaseException(unknown error (code 0 SQLITE_OK): Queries can be performed using SQLiteDatabase query or rawQuery methods only.) sql 'PRAGMA quick_check' args []

So maybe the report is incorrect (indeed the lower layer returns false but no error) but it might mean that the command has not been executed. Can you try using rawQuery?
