I got user registration and login functionality set up on my branch! It uses Flask, Python micro web framework, as the server backend. Still thinking about how to integrate tracking of progress.

I'll make an attempt at this. Will plan to, initially, store data in local storage / cookie with the intent of making it easy to shift to some user-keyed location on the server.

I don't think I have rights to actually assign or set in progress so this is kind of a mark in the sand for a bit.
