I haven't found any traces of prometheus.io catalogue of alerts, so I think it is same to assume that there is none.

On the other hand, there is a couple of non-Prometheus curated resources.

Awesome Prometheus alerts

There is a https://awesome-prometheus-alerts.grep.to/rules.html website. It's open-sourced and has 4k GitHub stars. They welcome contributing and their CONTRIBUTING.md even says

If you don't have time to write a PR, just copy and paste some alerts into an issue. We will format it accordingly.

At the same time, there are some controversial commits: samber/awesome-prometheus-alerts@6bfcdcc , samber/awesome-prometheus-alerts@7b3d2e4 , so I'm not sure that we will be welcome with Tarantool contribution or that we want to do it as a community.

PromCat

There is also https://promcat.io/ website hosted by https://sysdig.com . It looks more enterprise than the first one. The resource itself has a GitHub repo which says that you might contribute with a PR, but it's not clear if they are welcome to add new resources:

Our main goal is not to list all of the available content; the Prometheus project already lists exporters . Instead, we want to raise the bar and list the content we have curated, tested, documented and, most importantly, that we support for Sysdig customers, including:

Prometheus and third-party exporters, packaged as container images with deployment manifests for Kubernetes.
Both Grafana and Sysdig dashboards. Most of our customers love Sysdig integrated dashboards, with Team scope and RBAC, which are available alongside our[ troubleshooting ](https://sysdig.com/use-cases/kubernetes-troubleshooting/)and security functionality. But some advanced users prefer Grafana with Sysdig metrics so they can customize every single detail of their dashboarding experience. Both are supported in this catalog.
Both AlertManager and Sysdig PromQL alerts definition.
Recording rules, in order to pre-calculate metrics when you have tons of them.

Because many of these resources are already available as open-source software, our compromise is to also give back to the community that has originally created them. We'll contribute any bug fixes and improvements we do as part of our maintenance and support.

And requirements is more stricter here: it is not just an alerts.yml storage: we should add some setup and alerts documentation.

It is worth to notice that I couldn't open https://sysdig.com without turning VPN plugin on (https://promcat.io/ itself works ok).

Tarantool documentation

At last, we can just host alerts.yml here (as we already are) and provide some link in the documentation (together with #64).

from grafana-dashboard.

After small talk with PromCat and reviewing their description we decided that working as a "alert storage" is not their approach, so let's stick to Tarantool documentation. Thus, I'm closing this ticket since now it looks like a duplicate of #64

from grafana-dashboard.
