@mdusch, I'm unable to replicate on my end. I found some help docs on the problem in ArcGIS Desktop, not sure if these causes are similar to your issue, but worth taking a look Esri support article. You may also want to pull the latest changes to the library if you haven't done so already.

I pulled the latest commit and haven't run into this issue again.

Is it possible to change the shp file's name and other files within the zip, rather than just the zip file, to the piped input from the service.txt?

This has been only happening with Polygon features, point and line data have always been fine. I've just been converting the JSON to shp file for handling names a bit better.

I've added the -nln flag for ogr2ogr and specified the custom name. All shapefile files should be named correctly now.
