Identical JSON won't render from external file about jquery.gantt

I managed to get it to work with an external JSON. I guess that the JSON you create may not validate. Try to validate JSON here: http://jsonlint.com/ If you dont get it to work I will send you my example.

Thanks so much, that pointed me in the right direction! I did not have the quotes around the "names" in the JSON although I did have them around the "values". I guess the parser or whatever is more forgiving with JSON formatting when reading inline versus from a file. Bottomline, once I added double-quotes around my JSON "names" (e.g., "desc" instead of desc) the GANTT gets generated perfectly. One other little thing that tripped me up -- might help others -- is that it appears that each name-value pair must have a "value" (i.e., empty string won't work). That appeared to be an issue for me, at least with the desc value. To solve this, I simply changed any "desc": "" values to "desc": " " with a single space in the value.
