Thanks for your issue, and sorry for the trouble.
That's a known issue, without a solution so far. See e.g. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/slow-admin-area-performance-in-chromefirefox for more details.
Some users have had success with temporarily switching to IE for these large tables. Maybe you can try that?
The other solution would be to edit your table e.g. in Excel and then re-import it into TablePress after editing it.
Meanwhile, I do have ideas of making this faster with a JS-only implementation, but this will still take some time.
