Thanks, Symphony should be suppressing PHP5.3 deprecated notices though, do you have error_reporting settings being configured elsewhere/as well?

Thanks for the fast fix.
I have error_reporting settings in my own extensions.
For a good coding style I always use:

error_reporting(E_ALL | E_STRICT);

Maybe this would also be an option for the symphony project. Or what do you think?

It could be an option to enable/disable error reporting in preferences. It should of course be disabled on production environments.

Symphony uses the same, it just adds E_DEPRECATED to PHP5.3. We find we've still got a wide user base across 5.2 and 5.3, so we aren't concerned in enforcing deprecated function use. An exercise for the extension developer :)
