Xprop is easy to use. Run it in terminal emulator and then left click on the opened app's window. It should give You a lot of useful information. Unfortunately in this case it's not enough. If You look at the parsecd.desktop file in /usr/share/applications/ folder You will find out that app forces to use png icon, instead of svg from icon pack. What You can do is copy that file to .local/share/applications folder and remove the path to the icon, replacing it with simple parsec.svg. That should be enough.
