same here, changing settings is completely unbearable
from cool-retro-term.

if anyone has this same issue, here is a scuffed as hell hack because I don't know how QML files work:

download the git repo and dependencies:
https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term/wiki/Build-Instructions-(Linux) -
before you run
qmake && makeopen the file/cool-retro-term/app/qml/SettingsWindow.qmland addcolor: "#282a33"underneath the parameters for width and height
(change the color to whatever your theme uses for dialogs)
-
run
qmake && make -
replace the old cool-retro-term with the patched one:
sudo cp ./cool-retro-term /usr/bin/cool-retro-term
from cool-retro-term.
