[QUESTION] Can "garbage" files also be removed? about html-webpack-skip-assets-plugin

Unfortunately, plugins which allow webpack to remove certain output files seem not to last very long. The last one I knew of (https://github.com/AnujRNair/webpack-extraneous-file-cleanup-plugin) has some people reporting that it no longer works as of webpack 4.

However, since they are empty files, they tend not to take up much space. As far as clean up, I'd recommend either using rimraf with a prebiuld step to cleanup the dist folder on each build, or a webpack plugin like the clean-webpack-plugin to nuke the output entirely before each build.

Thank you! But I only want to delete the empty files, which are actually generated usually after a prebuild or a "nuke" as you put it :-). They will still be upoaded to a server, where there was no "nuke" and mess up the file structure.
I will think about another solution, when I use the plugin again.
