Yes, Monodraw is really cool app, I use it a lot for inline documentation because it's easy and fun, very clear to understand the data flow. I can't recommend it enough!

About the Keynote to GIF thing, I can't remember exactly the steps I took but I roughly followed this tutorial here

No need for apologize. Which illustrations are you referring to?
The logo was drawn on a paper and vectorized using Paintcode (https://www.paintcodeapp.com), the animated GIFs were done in Apple Keynote, exported as video and converted in GIF using ffmpeg command-line, some static graphs are also Apple Keynote and the ASCII art graphs are using the amazing Monodraw (https://monodraw.helftone.com).

Thanks for the answers! I've been amazed by the keynote-ffmpeg routine for animated gifs! And indeed Monodraw is amazing!
