I think the model
wrapper is just necessary for your generators. We don't need those. One solution modify the JSON we get from editor to have model
key (which should include everything in editor).
I'm not sure about opts
key.

Yes, AFAICT, the model wrapper can be added only for the generation step. I
recommend adding it just for that.
