So I realise it looks bad replying this late, but I thought I'd give a proper honest answer and wanted to muse on it for a while:
2.0-rewrite
is for sure effectively dead - Everytime I set out to work on it, as tends to happen with full rewrites, I'd make a little progress and effectively nothing more.
master
is generally "alive", in that when I encounter issues I will fix / merge in fixes, but I've not for a while. All of my code tends to live on older versions of Rails, and I've not been driven to update it.
A lot has happened since I started 2.0 + such, so it really does need to be revisited - but It's been far too long and I've yet to be able to really justify the time to do it.
Short answer: It's alive, but on life support. I don't plan on killing it / abandoning completely, as I still use it in my own work - but I wouldn't be against someone taking over 2.0 and running with it (with some discussion around the intentions of it etc).

Thanks for the honesty, man. That was all I needed. I'd take it on myself, but I've moved towards another architecture and I'm not using RocketPants anymore, unfortunately. RocketPants was a real timesaver when I used it, though.
I wish you the best of luck with RocketPants and future projects! 🚀
