Actually, by removing the ===================== after the =begin and =end you fix the issue with the coloring. Rookie mistake, but still, please update the example.
from binman.
Thanks, but I have a few questions.
When you say "coloring" are you referring to syntax highlighting?
And where does this change improve coloring? On github? In your text
editor? (Works fine for me, without this change, in vim.)
from binman.
I use vim, and yes, I am referring to syntax highlighting, sorry about not being clear.
After experimenting a bit, my syntax highlighting works if I have
=end
instead of
=end =====================
the begin part doesn't seem to affect it.
I only have the following syntax and coloring related options in my .vimrc:
set t_Co=256
syntax on
set synmaxcol=300
colorscheme desert
I also disabled all options in my .vimrc ( mv .vimrc .vimrc~) and still run into the same issue with:
=end =====================
and the same solution of just
=end
vim version:
VIM - Vi IMproved 7.3 (2010 Aug 15, compiled May 4 2012 04:09:27)
Included patches: 1-429
from binman.
Got it. I was able to reproduce this problem by running:
vim -u NONE -c 'syn on' bin/binman
Please install newer syntax highlighting rules to solve this problem.
