@ tasdikrahman : thanks for the issue. In the daemonset.yaml, can you please try setting the LOG_FORMAT to json_merge to see if the behavior persists?

@tasdikrahman - I have pushed v1.17 which in my testing fixed the issue. Please rebuild your images from this base image and give it a test now. If everything works in your end, I will update latest to point here as well...

Meanwhile we also notice that the var FLUENTD_USER_CONFIG_DIR is not being referenced apart from passing a default in the Dockerfile.

Great I will promote this to latest. This is expected. FLUENTD_USER_CONFIG_DIR Is for the Helm chart. You can add custom fluentD conf via the Helm chart dynamically instead of building your own Docker file. https://github.com/kubernetes/charts/tree/master/stable/sumologic-fluentd
