You could change:

if(!Date.parse(ast.value)) {
      throw new GraphQLError('Query error: String is not a valid date time string', [ast]);
    }

to

if(isNaN(Date.parse(ast.value))) {
      throw new GraphQLError('Query error: String is not a valid date time string', [ast]);
    }
