Only works every other time on element that I'm changing text in about textfit

click teh red and green buttons and the text changes. every other time, the text gets bigger then smaller

I added some debugging to see what was going on in textfit.js like this just to see what was printed:

console.log($(this).width() + ', ' + $(this).height());
originalText = $(this).html();
$(this).html("");
originalWidth = $(this).width();
originalHeight = $(this).height();

with that logging in there... it actually works fine... no changes to the code, just logging the width and height and it works just fine. but if i remove the console log, it goes back to switching back and forth again

Interestingly, I'm seeing this on mobile but not on desktop Chrome.

However the jQuery version of textFit is deprecated. I recommend using the new version (2.0) and simply passing the element to it, such as textFit($("#navText")).

I do still get it, but I've gone ahead and started using the non-jquery version
