I think the interest lies in the value proposition. In our infrastructure it's not — at present — a thing we'd benefit from. But, If this would make things easier for you, then we'd love to see it! It doesn't look like much of a burden and doesn't create a lot of extra work on our end.

Yeah, it looks like this would be pretty straightforward for us to add. We wouldn't really use it ourselves, but since it'd be a no-op, it'd be nice to provide a way to override config with the environment variables.
