What is the reason this and #11 has been closed? Is it cancelled/there is a change or implementation is done?

This one is done (as seen at the demo), so is #11 depending on how you interpret it (I'm able to send test data between the client and the server, but it's not real payloads yet which is what I'm working on now)

I'm gonna come up with a new set of issues that better reflects the current state of the module

Try to make issues that are meant to be merged with master. If there are sub tasks, just add them to the description. It is OK to create a new issue for a a job that is not meant to be merged to master but it is too large to be a sub task. I will be looking for a pull request. :)
