The trade offer solution requires that 2 different users set a trading offer manually.

On the other hand, accounts that have enabled rippling exchange ious of the same currency between their trust lines automatically.

So all we need to do is find a circular path.

I would use the static_path_find to find such a path and then make a payment with that path.
I haven't tried it before. It would need to provide paths that abide by the additional constraint that the issuer of the currency for the destination address is specific.
