I'm still on vacation and it doesn't seem like anyone else has picked up on this. Did you get your question resolved?

Hey, it looks like the sink process pipe gets closed on every flush. So yes, I resolved my question myself. It is a little bit confusing because README mentions "streaming". Sounds like continuous stream, this is rather series of streams. Thanks.
