I have added -Wl,--no-as-needed which should take care of this. Seems GCC changed something about linking in dynamic libraries. If you grab the latest changes it should work now.

Okay, I had solved the problem by moving the -ldl parameter to the end of the command (even after .c and .so name) after what I have found here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4385155/setting-my-lib-for-ld-preload-makes-some-processes-produce-loader-errors .
I have no idea which solution is better but can do a pull request if interested, my commit is here: richi235@4f9bfba

I think that is probably the better solution since the -as-needed flag is more hacky. Please make a Pull Request with the -ldl added directly in place (no extra variable).
