PrimitiveName is a public enum. Do you mean that you just want access to forTypeMirror and forClass?

Oh right, my analysis of the problem wasn't quite right, but it seems likely that people will want access to those methods, yes. I admit I hadn't noticed it was an enum, so I didn't actually need these methods for the specific cases I've encountered so far, where the type was constant.

I think TypeNames.forClass and TypeNames.forTypeMirror are what you want for the dynamic case.
