I also don't think maintaining the int
-based methods is required if we don't want to. This is a small, light project with few consumers. We could just bump the major version again and message it in the change log.

Can we mark them deprecated for a teensy bit? It's really really
obnoxious to import this library along with big change whenever, say,
dagger upgrades to a new javawriter. I'm ok with a one-release-delete
deprecation policy, but please don't rip them out immediately. Or add
them in, minor increase, then immediately rip them out for a major
version increase, just so I have some breathing room, please.
