Hi,
You are using the postgresql specific type from sqlalchemy.dialects.postgresql import UUID
with sqlite. Don't do that.
Either use the default Uuid that will mostly work correctly in most databases or use with_variant to specify the type you want to use in sqlite.
from sqlalchemy.
Ahh, I made a typo on the example, on my real app I use:
from sqlalchemy import UUID
And it doesn't work either... is that normal @CaselIT ?
from sqlalchemy.
You will need to use Uuid
. That will use char(32)
on sqlite, since it has no uuid type.
Sadly SQLite has many poor choices regarding strictness, so it will not raise if you create a table with a non existing type. But it will then try to interpret the data as it pleases leading to strange results
from sqlalchemy.
Ok, thanks for the info @CaselIT, I'll be more careful when using SQLite from now on :)
