Make sure you are using the latest version of Spotify. Also, try this for a new version of the API: http://www.hackerden.org/spotify/preview
from apps-tutorial.
Not working for me either.
Have dev account, installed spotify_installer-0.8.7.111.gaf8d06ed-245.exe
have ~/Spotify/apps-tutorial/
Btw the "BundleIdentifier" in the manifest json is "api-tutorial"
Is that right?
thank you!
Update:
Well still doesnt work on Windows, but on Ubuntu on the Linux preview, spotify:app:api-tutorial works.
Breakin' my balls man! breakin mah balls..

@mager didn't want to merge #10 which resolved the issue entirely, after he whimsically changed the BundleIdentifier in b4ff26e.

Aha.. word.
Do you have your own fork with your merge? Would be happy to clone from that instead! :)

This tutorial is a decent reference. Although they do not have any complex cases, for example sorting tracks in a playlist or managing multiple playlists.

@SebastianThomas Have you resolved this? I'm having the same problem on Windows 7.

Don't remember tbh! :)

I resolved mine but I never continued, haha.

Oh yeah? Do you remember how you managed that? Might be useful. Cheers! 👍

hi I got the same error on my Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS. I got the apps-tutorial but spotify does not load it; error msg is "app is not installed". Can anyone help? thks

This is hilarious. I've had the fix in a PR for 10 months. I'm guessing they don't want anyone else contributing... defeats the purpose of open source.
@paolo-tn my PR referenced above works.

@jpowell Your changes seem to have been applied in February 2013, but instead of merging the pull request the changes were applied manually, or that is what I can see from the changesets.

Thanks @JMPerez. Yes, after I'd made my PR, one of the devs went in and manually made a fraction of the required updates. See 7580be2
