Hi Stephen, for Android SDK its required to set the user id when the factory initialize, this design is needed to only sync the segment names that the user id is a member of, without the need to download all the segments contents.
The server side SDKs don't have this limitation, since they usually run on a faster networks.

Yes, just make sure to disable the old factory instance using client.Destroy() before initializing a new factory instance.
