Yes, presenter mode needs a server so it's only available on dev by design at this moment. Later we could explore the usage for custom ws server or even do live sharing on an hosted site.

maybe, using the inter-window messaging API would allow for a serverless solution https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Window/postMessage (which is what is done in some other HTML slide frameworks)
