skip.lib.ErrorException:javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeExceptionChain validation failed about skip-foundation

I have't seen that error, but I'm guessing that it might have to do with the root certificates in use. Did you get this error when running an app on the Android emulator or device, or did it happen in unit testing (and thus would be using the local JVM through Robolectric's Android simulation)? If on the device/emulator, and you run adb logcat to see more verbose output, do you see anything else about the URL?

Also, what version of the device/emulator are you using? Root certificates do come and go over time, and so the site you are trying to visit may be using a newer certificate that might not be available on older devices.
