search function about elfeed

My original plan was to use SQLite as the Elfeed database backend, and I wrote EmacSQL to that end: Introducing EmacSQL https://nullprogram.com/blog/2014/02/06/ Then I could leverage the full text search feature, which EmacSQL explicitly enables. However, I wasn't satisfied enough with the result, and how complicated it was as a dependency, so I dropped those plans. Currently I have no plans to allow searching within entry content.

If you mean using the search command in the main elfeed-search buffer,
no, you can't currently search within content. I hope to fix this
someday if I rework the database backend. I never figured out how to
build a reasonably efficient index for all feed content in pure Elisp,
so it just covers URLs and titles.

If you're desperate to find something in particular just once (tip of
your tongue type of thing), you can grep the .elfeed/data/ directory for
it.

Thanks for reply, that's not so big deal. I was just used to search by
keywords in newsbeuter. But this is good because it forces me to
accurately scan all feeds ! :-)

Hi,
I also stumbled across this after trying to look for a way to do full text search within elfeed feeds.

Is there any progress made on that, and if yes, how can I help test it?
