This is taken care of in a more generalised manner, rather than de-duplicating on message ID, it takes a (SHA-256) hash of the AX.25 frame payload, control byte and the source/destination addresses, and stores that for up to 28 seconds, ignoring messages that match this hash.
This should work for all kinds of AX.25 frames, including confirmable APRS messages.
