Hi

It is not necessary to create a multiband raster to use flexsdm. You can simply read a list of .tif files using terra package.

# The codes below are only for exemplifying a directory with several rasters
####################################################################%#
somevar <- system.file("external/somevar.tif", package = "flexsdm")
somevar <- terra::rast(somevar)
d <- tempdir()
writeRaster(somevar, file.path(d, paste0(names(somevar), ".tif")))
####################################################################%#

# Now the real codes useful for you
d # This is the path to the folder with raster layers
# Remember that the raster must have the same extent, resolution, and projection!
f <- list.files(d,
           pattern = ".tif$", # raster format
           full.names  = TRUE)
f # a character vector with the path to raster files
predictors <- terra::rast(f)
predictors
plot(predictors)
