The issue is the front-end editing, because if you reedit an article in the 
front-end the readmore disappears.

It's not a bug, if you edit a flexicontent item with the com_content edit 
button you loose the extended data and you can have strange behavior.
Is it the the same if you click on the article and edit it then.
The url should be index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=items.........

Well i dont get it, because it is the same issue  with flexicontent>category 
view, when i click on the flexicontent front-end edit item button the read more 
part is missing in the editor. If it isnt't a bug is there a workaround ?

I have the same problem, and it's certainly a bug. I checked the url after 
pressing the edit button and it contains the "option=com_flexicontent" option. 
It's very exasperating, and I would be very thankful if you could check it.
Of course if I login in the back-end and I choose to edit an item, the problem 
does not exists. But I won't tell my article writers to log in the back-end to 
edit an existing item...
The whole component is perfect, but this problem needs to be solved...
