The methodology involved in the proposed work is to encrypt the secret message using AES algorithm to generate a ciphertext. A filler deceptive message is converted into a QR code, and the QR code is encoded using the base-64 image encoding mechanism to generate a string of characters. The ciphertext of the secret message is padded with it and the resultant string is back decoded to the QR image. The QR image may now be transmitted through a secured or insecure channel. If a man in the middle tries to eavesdrop the secret message, he won't know if there's a message hidden in the QR code and hence won't be able to decode it. At the receiver's end, the receiver would encode the image to the string of characters and would trim the ciphertext at the end of it. The receiver may, then decrypt the ciphertext using AES mechanism and obtain the secret message.
