Is SEO really a thing to think about when writing documentation?

Well I think so, at least I do not want our documentation pages be penalized by search engines, any opinions anyone? @LukasHeinz @TomasVotruba?

I do not feel SEO as a issue - I am more concerned about maintainability of same information on different pages.
