@DonKoko I've made the views. You can check them out via this link https://www.figma.com/file/2XkiKJ4II7Mux6JJL9hYTm/Shelf-App-%7C-Production-Ready?node-id=5448-319404

I think it would be most efficient to leave comments in Figma. And we can call if needed. You may be prompted to request access. I had to remove all users from the Figma environment cause.

Hi @DonKoko for context.

  • Jurre is not happy with the upper case S
  • Also the symbol
  • and the color
  • He has made a WIP page so you can see the new look and feel he is suggesting so we make a final decision on it.

Then he can adapt it to the Production ready pages. Those are independent from each other.

Hey,

I have created the basic layout for authentication and implemented the views. The designs are not implemented 100% as we are aiming to ship as fast as possible so I am taking the decision to skip some stuff for now that take a bit too much time to manage and will not add sufficient value. In the future we can polish everything.

Thats fine. Lets please move it to a discussion on organization level. This issue is not the right place for that topic.

Shall i make the logout page.

@kaspra thanks for the suggestion and your desire to contribute. There isn't really a need for a logout page. When the user clicks logout button it submits a form that performs the logout action.
There are plenty of stuff tho, that we need help with. You can check this discussion: #30 where we have defined the MVP. You can look there and pick any topic you would like to contribute to. Also, in case you dont know about it, we have a test app deployed right now on testapp.shelf.nu/. Feel free to register and take a look on what we have there.

@carlosvirreira @jurrejansen in terms of finalizing authentication there are still a few things to consider that we need to do:

@jurrejansen can you please provide a design for:

  • Confirm sign up (Confirm mail basically)
  • Magic link
  • Change email address
  • Reset password

I think that for now, logo + background color for the mail body and our font should be more than enough.

Just a note. Those are not marketing emails. We should keep the as simple as possible and focus on their purpose. Also we can't add any more links to them or anything like this as any email with more than 1 link will go to the promotions tab on Gmail and we dont want that for our functional emails.

@DonKoko good one. I removed the email footer.

shall we keep the line down below but not hyperlink the '[email protected]' or completely remove it?

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our support team at [email protected].

carlosvirreira avatar carlosvirreira commented on May 28, 2024

yes lets go for support @ shelf.

PS: we have to see how to either link our support box / crisp to our Discord or we then have to all add those mails to keep an eye on them.

Will make the mailbox @jurrejansen

Its an email so any email client will automatically make the email address a link without us having to actually make it a link so even if we just include it as text, it should be clickable

jurrejansen avatar jurrejansen commented on May 28, 2024

@DonKoko alright, if it won't count as an extra link we'll keep it.

@carlosvirreira I suspect discord integration is part of the 25 bucks a month Crisp plan

Yea, won't happen @jurrejansen we just have to check the thing regularly.

DonKoko avatar DonKoko commented on May 28, 2024

Did you guys manage to test all of those? I already updated also the one in the user settings for resetting password. Please let me know if you are happy and we can close this.
