Why do we need construct descriptives? Which descriptives specifically?

Good point — should have noted it when i made the issue. Common descriptives:
- mean of scores
- sd of scores
- correlation matrix of scores
The are of course easily generated by base R commands. The advantage of producing it ourselves is that we can format it in the way that is usually reported in papers. i'll try to stick some examples here later.
