Hi,

While the link you shared is already a good starting point for backing up repositories, you will have to create your own backup scripts to query all relevant information about pull requests, issues, and wikis via GitHub's API.

An alternative approach is outlined in this article about "Configuring backups on your appliance":

In particular, we recommend using backup-utils in order to create incremental backup snapshots of your whole GitHub Enterprise Server instance:

@mukul-seagate11 I feel above links and utilities are GitHub Enterprise server specific. Our repositories are hosted in Github.com only.

@gowthamchinna Our data is hosted in GitHub.com already and they assure of 99.95% uptime as per https://github.blog/2017-03-01-powerful-new-features-for-businesses-on-github-com/ . We may confirm this figures.

@shailesh-vaidya what happens when some one from our github admin team accidently delete the component repository. Do we have a way to recover back the data.

As Github provided restore option for deleted repository so closing the issue
