omg, if I didn't get the mail just now I would have completely missed this :/
hum... Francesca can confirm that I am the BESt in finding new names (#not), but scimpy sounds good tbh and can be expanded to eg. scimpy-bcr which is catchy.
I will try to find something that might (but probably not...) sound better!

scirpy? (I=immune, R=receptor)
from scirpy.

@georgios.fotakis, everyone knows you are our avatar-nerd ;P
I like both scimpy
and scirpy
, they are easy to pronounce and have some similarity to scanpy
.

scAIRpy for adaptive immune receptors?
from scirpy.
In GitLab by @Francesca.Finotello on Mar 23, 2020, 20:05
I like scAIRpy... but it sounds a bit too similar to scary :)
Maybe AIRpy?
from scirpy.
In GitLab by @szabogtamas on Mar 23, 2020, 20:07
maybe scirpy is better then

Not sure if that's a bad thing :D
from scirpy.
In GitLab by @grst on Mar 24, 2020, 18:43
So current frontrunners are
scirpy
scairpy
airpy
The downside of airpy
it's already taken on PyPI.
The other ones are still available.
from scirpy.

Then scirpy of scairpy are both fine for me!
So you can either decide or involve Zlatko... that might even propose a third one :D

I doubt he cares...
@georgios.fotakis @szabogtamas any preferences?
from scirpy.
In GitLab by @szabogtamas on Mar 25, 2020, 11:06
we can go with scirpy
for now
from scirpy.
In GitLab by @georgios.fotakis on Mar 25, 2020, 12:04
Tbh I don't really like airpy
(reminds me of NIKE shoes ;P)
And scirpy
> scairpy
imo.
from scirpy.
In GitLab by @grst on Mar 25, 2020, 12:10
Then scipry
it'll be :)
from scirpy.
