I think you've misunderstood what match stats are. The matchStats[i].kills
is the number of kills the player made that round - whereas p.kills
in the number of kills the player made throughout the whole match. I'd only ever expect them to match once, the first round where they make a kill.
Also your code only works if the number of players stays the same between each round, which may not always be the case. If a client disconnects then reconnects then the stats will be incorrect.
