Hey @mukkel185,
It looks like the firewall is blocking incoming connections from the Chromecast device.
And did you check the other hints from the wiki?
Chromecast device doesn't start streaming
- Make sure your desktop plays music.
- Try switching the recording device.
- Try switching the IP address.
- Check if the firewall is not blocking incoming connections for 'ChromeCast.Desktop.AudioStreamer'.
Let me know!

I'm having a similar issue... After about 3 weeks of FLAWLESS play, DAS acted-up over the past few days, with Speaker Groups dropping-out, and no streaming, even though the display indicated it was playing.
Version 2.5.2 on Windows 10 Professional w/ 16 GB RAM...
I closed DAS and restarted it. All devices except one were found and populated into the Device Box. I tried 'Scan Again...' 3 times, but the Device List did not change. I tried to play two Speaker Groups ('First Floor Speakers' & 'Second Floor Speakers'); First Floor failed to load; Second Floor loaded, and indicated "Playing", but there was no audio.
At this point, I dumped the Log (attached), and checked all LAN connections -- All speakers were above 90% (screen shot attached).
I unloaded everything, and rebooted the PC, and tried DAS again. This time, it loaded very slowly, and eventually found all but TWO Devices, but would not stream any audio (another Log also attached).
I'm at a loss to fathom what is going on... It is possible that a Windows 10 update may have be a factor; most recent updates on 11/16 (KB4524570) & 11/13 (KB4524569)

It's a different issue, but I'm also having discovery problems.
I thought it was due to my new router, but maybe it's an update then...
As a temporary workaround you can add the IP of the missing devices in 'ChromeCast.Desktop.AudioStreamer.exe.config' (wiki). I'll let you know when I found something!

After installing the latest update the discovery works again for me.
Updates installed:
- Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909
- KB4522741 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 and Windows Server 1903 RTM

@SamDel: Sorry for letting you wait.
It was indeed a firewall problem - windows somehow changed the permissions besides i already allowed the streamer beforehand. Don't ask me why.
It's working without any problems now - thank you very much for your help :)
PS: The sound is lacking some deeper frequencies but that seems not to be caused by the Audio-Streamer

Thanks.
You can try changing the stream format to 'Wav'!

With DHCP, IP addresses may not be static; is there a way to use MAC Addresses instead?

I ran Windows Update, and there was another update available. After installing it, everything seems back to normal.
Thanks!

@mukkel185 : I don't know what happens with the bass, the application doesn't filter the audio from the laptop's sound card.
@FA-Bubba : Nice that it works again!
I'm closing the one.
